A Long Lost Silence

I was lost

Endlessly searching

For a way out of the unknown

Countless seconds turned into weeks

Isolation of a mind that couldn't deceive

Please just believe me

Wading through the shallow waters

As I approach my unfocused ending

Strung along in my fantasy

I wish I could see my happy ending

I'm going down this path

I can't betray my thoughts

This time I must move forward

Cast aside

Memories that are altered

Leave behind everything in the dust

Suffocating underneath their arms

To abandon all that I once knew

Is to find the light, and to accept the truth

This forest is awoken

I reset

I object to my delusions
